A Trip To A Show Of Realistic Baby Dolls And Games Along With My Spouse And Kids

I took my entire family on a family trip today to a museum of childhood and doll. My wife loves dolls, especially realistic baby dolls, as she has been a collector for many years. She informed me that there was going to be a display of realistic baby dolls at this museum, so we thought we might have a look.

When we arrived, we quickly saw that this was a very large exhibition into the lifes and cultures of youngsters over the past one hundred fifty years or more. There was one specific show that made me saw how hard a life children had back in the late 1800's.

It was exhibiting to you the hard circumstances they had in their job in addition to the hours they were required to work.

One of the cases was chimney sweeping. Kids as old as 6 years old was performing the job, with no safety gear and was exposed to obvious lung problems. Accidents and tragedy was frequent its sad to say. The times have been lengthy too, with youngsters working as long as 13 hours a day in factories with only one brief break. How the quality of life has changed within the hundred or so years for the worlds children.

Further into the exhibition, there was a vast array of toys from the past, right up to the present. A few of these toys reminded me of my childhood, as one or two of the items on show I remember owning, and starting from toy trains and tricycles, right up to a few of the in style branded board games we can still buy today.

It was not only a fun day trip for all of the family. My wife was happy to see her realistic baby dolls, and a big range of dolls there was. This trip was certainly an education and more crucially, a reminder that life was not as straightforward for children as it could have been back in these difficult laborious, long working days a hundred or so years ago.
